QUERY: Good examples
of Work Site Management, Reply by 30 April 2008
[From Karthikeyan, Collector, Ganjam, Orissa]
This is a very good initiative and will help us in sharing experiences in effective implementation of NREGA. We will fully utilise this initiative and also canvass about this to our colleagues. I would like to hear from Districts who have introduced successful initiatives in work site management, which is one of the major challenges we face in implementation of NREGA. Can you give us examples of what has worked, and why?
Query: Time and Motion Studies for fixing the Schedule of Rates, Reply by 15 May 2008
[From Sonmoni Borah, Collector, kabirdham, Chhattisgarh]
NREGA guidelines provide that for States to undertake work, Time and Motion studies should be used for fixing the Schedule of Rates (SOR). The rationale for a Time and Motion Study is to enable a realistic formulation of SOR based on geomorphological condition. Are there any states who have developed a model SOR for NREGA that can be shared as a good practice?
