Daily Reporting System through SMS - improving quality of NMR under NREGSA at viluppuram District - Tamil Nadu
The Districts Administration in Viluppuram, Tamil Nadu introduced the SMS based daily reporting system, which has changed the quality of muster roll and also ensuring better monitoring of the programme. To ensure this, at Viluppuram district, tried to put in a system (at work sites in Village) in place which will reflect timely closing of NMR by the authorised person by 11.00 a.m. The information regarding this is passed on from Village to Block level and subsequently to District level by taking advantage of good network of communication in the Telecom Sector in the state of Tamil Nadu through telephone message.more>>

The District Administration in Jalore introduced the new Groupwise task/napi/measurement/payment system, which has changed the entire work culture of Jalore.Key to this success, lies in the introduction of a Mate- one of the workers assigned to supervise a group of 20-25 workers. Special emphasis was laid in selecting women as mates.
