Education Community provides inputs for the designing of the MDMP slogan and logo …

To package the Mid-Day Meal Programme (MDMP), the Ministry of Human Resource Development felt it necessary to have a slogan and logo. The programme was started in order to improve the enrolment, attendance and retention of primary school children, while simultaneously improving their nutritional status. The Ministry planned to design a logo for the MDMP with the help of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.

The Ministry posted a query to the members of Education Community in September 2006 asking for suggests on the central theme of the Programme to be highlighted in the logo, and on the slogan that would match it.

The member’s comments were compiled into a Consolidated Reply, which was then sent to the Ministry, and used in the logo and slogan design.
