Discussion on Decentralization Community provides key inputs for national draft framework for developing the capacities for Panchayat staff and functionaries.

T. R. Raghunandan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India shared a document relating to the National Capability Building Framework (NCBF), a comprehensive strategy to build capacities of Panchayati Raj staff and functionaries and institutions for better governance and service delivery, with the members of Decentralization Community to receive feedback.

The document received extensive comments, which reflected the needs and existing capacities of panchayat staff and functionaries. The comments and suggestions from members were focused on making the Framework more effective and result oriented.

Based on the inputs received, the Ministry incorporated the Community’s suggestions into the draft framework.
