Insufficient document of on-going program affects the efficacy of future ones, to address this UNDP conducted process documentation evaluation on the UNDP-GoI Disaster Risk Management Programme to capture the institutional memory and learning, and strengthen ongoing interventions.

As part of the evaluation, they requested members of the Disaster Management to suggest the documentation’s structure and the issues that could be documented.

Using the inputs provided, UNDP is carrying out the documentation process. The document will be used by the Ministry of Home Affairs and various state governments to help define their strategy and institutionalize efforts, and more particularly to guide future programs in India and abroad.
