Welcome to the Maternal and Child Health Community!
The WHO along with UNFPA and UNICEF is facilitating the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Community, a community of practitioners’ for mutual learning and sharing of common concerns and real field work experiences for improving Maternal and Child Health in India. This platform is connecting people through cyberspace communication and face-to-face, towards the common objective of problem-solving. As a member of this community , you can proceed with the confidence that you are not reinventing the wheel.
The Maternal and Child Health Community consists of professionals from a wide range of organizations including the government officials, non-government organizations, private sectors, universities, development partners and the United Nation agencies accross the country. This community focuses on implementation issues facing the attainment of the development goals and targets in the Eleventh Five Year Plan of India, the National Rural Health Misssion (NRHM), Population Policy 2000 and Phase II of the Reproductive and Child Health Programme (RCH II). These targets correspond closely to the Millennium Development Goals and lead to reduction of maternal and child mortality.
Becoming a member of the MCH Community connects you with colleagues who share your interests and concerns, and who would like to learn from your knowledge and experience. I look forward to having you as a member in the MCH
