Dear Friends,

Greetings of the Season!

Recently, the SEARPharm Forum, in association with the WHO India Country Office, organised a national conference in Delhi on Challenges and Opportunities for Pharmacists in Health Care in India. It was a great leap forward and we wish to thank Dr. G. P. Mohanta of WHO India, our member, who masterminded this workshop taking a cue from the recent discussions in MCH and AIDS communities on possible roles of Pharmacists in Health Care System. We are looking forward to the recommendations of this workshop and further action plan; and we will keep you posted.

We are pleased to inform you that the MCH e-discussion series for 2007 is going to start from next week, with a discussion on Emergency Contraceptive Pills, as decided in our 2nd Annual Forum in Wardha. This series will continue through our next annual forum. We hope all of us through these discussions will share, learn and renew our commitment to the cause of Maternal & Child Health in India. So look out for the first question on 6th November 2007.

Please be informed that even during the e-Discussion series we will continue our bread and butter “Query” & “Response” service, so keep sending your ideas, queries and comments.

We look forward to your continued support and enthusiasm.

Best Wishes,

Meghendra Banerjee & Deeksha Sharma
