B.K.Sharma,
Respected all,
At the end of 2007 we should dream of what we can achieve by WORKING TOGETHER. One can not do everything but we can we can all do SOMETHING together. I request all members to create a vision what to achieve in 2008… innovation, creation and dreaming is important. Let us discuss on specifics: 1. How to reduce maternal mortality -by preventing at least 1 lakh deaths. 2. How to mobilise new trusted healthcare resources like pharmacists. 3. How to ensure family spacing, voluntary family planning in 1 crore Indians. 4. How to reduce by 10% number of deliveries taking place in homes. 5. How to ensure another 5 lakh children are immunised for all preventable diseases. 6. How to ensure a min of 1 crore Indian health literacy goes by 105. 7. How to create additional health workers with min competency of ASHA by investing in neglected hr source like dispensing community pharmacists.
The issues are many. Let us start in dreaming and allow our faculties to fly.

Dear All,
Faith makes all things possible, Hope makes all things work, Love makes all things beautiful. May you have all three in abundance during 2008.
Wish you all a very Happy and Joyous New Year!
Archana Chowdhury, Sehgal Foundation, Gurgaon
Dear All,
Happiness is something that one settles for After the ups and downs of ecstasy. Perhaps one doesn't know what one is looking for; Perhaps one doesn't realize one is free. Year's end is time to tally up the tentacles, Needing an occasion to take stock. Everywhere are angels singing canticles Well beyond the confines of the clock. Years, no more than seconds, are but moments, Each eternity again, again. All live on the wheel of joys and torments, Returning to the ramparts of the wind. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!
Ravendra Singh, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi
