After the Bihar floods of 2008, the Disaster Management Community hosted a query on the various water purification technologies for the flood-affected areas. The query received more than 65 responses covering 35 technologies, 25 experiences, and 100 recommended resources, thus helping create a large volume of practical information that could be easily used by the flood-affected communities and relief workers. The query received responses from government officials, relief experts, academic researchers, and private sector professionals.
