What is the Solution Exchange for the Water Community?
The Water Community is a group of professionals from a wide range of organizations and perspectives who are dedicated to promoting sustainable and equitable access to water in rural and urban areas in India, and particularly access to safe drinking water and sanitation facilities.
Solution Exchange connects members of this Community and increases the effectiveness of their individual efforts, helping them share and apply each other’s knowledge and experience. Through Solution Exchange, colleagues can turn to their peers across India for solutions to the day-to-day challenges they face.
What are some of the issues covered by this Community? · Drinking water supply- availability of clean, affordable and reliable sources of drinking water · Environmental sanitation- ecologically sound disposal of waste and treatment of wastewater · Water and sanitation technologies, for reducing costs or labor or improving quality of water and sanitation systems · Access to water – equitable, accountable, sustainable and cost-effective distribution and use of water for rural and urban populations Who should become a member of the Water Community?
